the ultimate custom-made card. (by l-aura) December 22, 2006

These are my personal favourite, because they look gorgeous, and they totally scream personal because you can never get such stuff on the market. They’re the very first design i worked on, and can work as the inside of almost any card design. However they do cost a little more because they’re kinda difficult and incredibly time and effort consuming to do. The perfect thing for birthdays, though. =)

So, presenting the popup name cards:

name your card =)

outsides can be modified to expectation =)

front view =)

As you can see, the receiver’s name was Daniel. Which kind of explains the better pictures. =)

Anyway, this is just one example. Any name can be done. The basic popup card costs $4, and is A5 (half A4) size, which is actually double the size of most of the cards below (except xtine’s). It consists of 2 colours (double layer), 5 normal popup letters and a simple cover design. Additional letters are $0.20 each (except for Q, R and S which cost $0.30) and a complicated cover design, which consists of any handcut shapes (for example the rifle on the left side of the front cover on the display card. punched shapes not counted) costs additional $0.50.

haha thanks cleav! er by default all the letters will be caps, but for small letters its additional $0.10 per letter, unless its already $0.30. this is because it’s harder to cut small letters and they don’t always turn out as nice because of all the curvy lines. yup =)
